“Most golf injuries aren’t accidents – they’re preventable movement problems.”

TPI bridges performance and preventative health by identifying how the body moves before pain shows up.

What is tpi?

Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. (source)

It is our mission to educate golfers on the Body-Swing Connection and empower golfers to enhance performance and longevity through movement.

A properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club efficiently, which reduces joint stress while improving consistency, distance, and accuracy.

That is why every golfer begins with TPI Movement Screens: an evaluation of swing mechanics, movement efficiency, current fitness level, health factors, and individual history.

  • Golf fitness creates sustainable performance improvements by developing strength, mobility and movement quality that carry over directly to the course.

    • Physical Screen

      • Purpose: To identify if the stability/mobility patten is intact or broken

        • When out of alignment, this will cause overuse of a mobile joint and misuse of a stable joint

    • Video-Swing Analysis

      • Purpose: To observe swing patterns in relation to physical movement capabilities, helping identify mobility restrictions, stability gaps, and injury risk patterns

        • When physical limitations are not identified, the body often compensates, which can lead to inconsistent swings, limit distance, and place unnecessary strain on the body during the swing

  • Golf is a highly athletic, rotational sport that places significant demands on the body. Without proper mobility, strength, and stability, even the most technically sound swing is limited. Golf fitness bridges the gap between what a golfer wants to do and what their body is capable of doing.

    • Improve Performance & Power

      • With a personalized fitness plan, golfers can improve their swing efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and distance

        • Targeted strength and mobility training addresses common restrictions and imbalances

    • Increase Consistency & Control

      • Golf fitness enhances balance, posture, and endurance so golfers can maintain a repeatable swing from the first tee to the last putt

        • Fatigue, poor balance, and physical limitations lead to inconsistent contact

    • Play Longer, Pain-Free

      • Golf fitness isn’t about lifting heavier weights – it’s about building a body that supports the demands of the game

        • With proper training, golfers recover faster, practice more consistently and continue playing at a high level as they age

TPI Swing Philosophy:

“We don’t believe there’s one way to swing a club. We think there are an infinite number of ways to swing. We Do believe that there is ONE EFFICIENT way for every player to swing based on what they can physically do.”
